SiftTube Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 12, 2026

By using SiftTube (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description

SiftTube is a parental content filtering layer for YouTube. We do not host video content. Videos play through YouTube's official embedded player. AI classification helps enforce family safety preferences but is not perfect.

2. YouTube Content

All video content belongs to YouTube and its creators. Videos play with full YouTube branding and ads unless the user has YouTube Premium. Subject to YouTube Terms.

3. Age Requirements

Accounts must be created by a parent/guardian who is at least 18 years old. Children use the app under parental supervision.

4. AI Classification Disclaimer

AI is not perfect. Some content may be misclassified. Parents should periodically review their children's viewing activity. SiftTube is not responsible for content that passes through filters.

5. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your parent password secure. Set a recovery email so you can reset it if forgotten.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to bypass or circumvent the filtering system, reverse engineer the app, scrape data, or share account credentials.

7. Service Availability

Provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. YouTube API quotas, maintenance, or third-party outages may affect availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

SiftTube is not liable for any content viewed, blocked, or allowed; AI classification decisions; or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or attempt to circumvent safety features.

10. Governing Law

Governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.
